How freaking cute is this watercolor confetti?!

I can think of sooooo many uses for it. Tuck some inside your pool party invites and BOOM water splashes. Sprinkle a handful across the table at a baby shower and BOOM rain drops. Throw some in the air when you’re having a pity party and BOOM tears. Okay, fine maybe not that last idea then.

I’m learning to watercolor so if you too are new to painting this is one hard project to mess up. The confetti looks so artsy and pretty but takes literally five minutes. :)

You Will Need:
Watercolor paper
Blue water color paint
Paint brush

Start by painting different sized tear drop shapes. I kept a little sliver of white inside the raindrops as a highlight but that’s totally optional. I also varied my blue color from darker to lighter to make things more interesting.

Cut out your rain drops. I left some white around the edges to frame the rain drop but that’s also a personal preference. You do what ever looks good to you.

That’s it! Let me know in the comments how you are going to use your raindrop confetti. Can’t wait to hear all your ideas!

Hi Mollie! I’m also starting to watercolor and I love trying different things. Thank you for the post, I love the idea so much! Now I’m dying to host a pool party hahaha.

Thanks, Martha! We beginners have to start out with the really simple projects first right? :P
