sound of music christmas tree

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with string
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the bee stings
When the dog bites
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad.

Well, here it is. Our first themed Christmas tree! I’m sure you easily predicted it from this post. I have to say, I’m quite happy with the turn out. (I think my favorite is the gingerbread “girl in a white dress with a blue satin sash” as the angel  on top of the tree).

Can you think of any fun ways we could have made ornaments for the all  lines we missed?

You’re too funny:) Anything can be made new. Did you do anything crafty for Christmas?

Not really… Not enough time to plan this year. I love your stocking idea, and since Zach and I decided that we like the idea of exchanging stockings with each other (we just bought cheapy ones from Walmart to start,) I will have to do something like that ;D Maybe with less needles, but with something different. I’ve always wanted something like that :D

Do it! They were super easy to make. You could always use puffy paint or something if you didn’t want so sew. “Kalvin” and “Zachel”;)
