I admit it, I have no self restraint. Zero. But I just find this so hilarious.
Because see, it’s like the whole thinly veiled “blessed” hashtag except it’s Thanksgiving so #blessed is totally perfect and hashtags are so 2016 but it’s on mashed potatoes which are so like since the dawn of time so…oh, okay. Well, I still think it’s so dang funny. :D
If you are the type of person who also happens to enjoy the silliness of #BLESSED mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner than I’m sure your friends and family will get a kick out of it too. Although…when I think about it Andrew is my family and he totally didn’t get it so on second hand that may not be true. Either way, I don’t think you can ever go wrong with playful potatoes. Yum!
You Will Need:
1 stick of butter
Paring knife
Straw
Big bowl mashed potatoes
Begin by cutting a chilled stick of butter into 1/8″ slices.
Use the paring knife to cut out simple letters shapes. Mini alphabet cookie cutters work even better if you’re lucky enough to have those on hand!
Use the straw to cut out the holes in the letters. I like how doing this makes a bubbly sort of font. :)
All that’s left is to decorate your mashed potatoes and serve them while the butter slowly melts!
